The Big Hook

The time is quickly arriving when the Whimsicle & Northern RR will be undertaking some major right-of-way reconstruction. Fortunately, after a considerable delay the "Big Hook" has arrived. The Maintenance-of-Way Department can now get out there and start laying the new track to the relocated Village of Make Believe depot.

Railroad President, C. S Nickolas, agreed on the condition that their new crane car be not so new. To accommodate, the Purchasing Department went out and found this 1938 American Flyer Lines built crane, model #3025, in Granbury, TX. Now the boys and girls in MoW can't wait to start playing with it.
