Rusty Steel Highways

Elgin Junction, H&TC with S.P.
Elgin Junction
Elgin, Texas

I sight down the rusty steel rails— Steel highways.

Where are they headed?

Where do they come from?

Is there a train traveling the tracks?

I want to know.

I want to walk the rails.

[Note: These images were taken a safe distance from the rail, or if taken while standing on the rail, I had permission to do so, or the tracks were abandoned. It is illegalto stand on active tracks, even if no train is coming, or enter railroad yards and right-a-ways without permission. You can be arrested for trespassing.]
