Love your neighbor as YOUR self.

“Love your neighbor as your self” falls short, the Greek reads (Mark 12:31), “Love your neighbor as YOUR self.” We often lose that emphasis on the YOUR. It is more than just treating our neighbors as we would want to be treated. The relationship goes much, much deeper. Our neighbor, and how we treat our neighbor, becomes part and parcel of who we are. Our treatment of others will raise up in spirit or drag down.

Although Jesus referenced Jewish law in his response in his response to the lawyer, this is the practice of Civility, a civility implied in Preamble to the Constitution.
