Remember the Owl in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland? Alice sought the Owl because she had heard that he had The Answer. When she found him she said, "It is said that you alone have The Answer." The Owl replied, "My friend, as much as is said about me is trie." So Alice asked the Owl her question. He answered carefully, "You must find out for yourself." Alice replied angrily, "Did I need the Owl to tell me I must think for myself?" "But, my friend," the Owl replied, "That is The Answer!" My teaching methodology is not to give answers to but how to answers, but to learn how to ask the right questions, and to see gleanings of answers in the question. "We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself (Lloyd Alexander, American author of children's fantasy)."

My passion lies in exploring how we live as People of Faith in the Borderlands, as "heavenly ambassadors of justice, mercy, peace, and of humble walk before our God. I have a thorough understanding of the original languages of both the Hebrew and Christian testaments. I am interested in exploring Quantum Christianity, the grotesque nature of divine mercy, Celtic and mystical Christianity, and the theologies of space and urban ministry, to name just a few of my interests. [Many of the seminars listed on the previous page can readily be adapted to the needs of a community of faith.]
What follows are just a few ideas for seminars. I am also available for pulpit supply and other ministry opportunities. Please email me for more information.
Quantum Theology for a Postmodern Age— This is not another dialogue between religion and science, but a whole new paradigm for living out our Christian faith (or any monotheistic faith) based on the quantum principle that the whole is greater than the sums of its parts. Ironically, the wisdom of this has been know to mystics for centuries. Quantum Theology, one could say, is the "unknowable part" of the Divine, or the "dark night of the soul," of human experience.
Radical Christian Living in an Energy-Climate Era— Radical Christianity reclaims the earth with solid theology that is both Creation- and Community-centric. Radical Christianity is about acting justly and giving mercy in redemptive ways.
Oran Mor: A Song for a Fragmented World— Celtic Christianity believed that God "sang" creation into existence. The Oran Mor, nothing less than the divine breath of God, speaks of a holy wholeness, a wholeness that today's world so desparately needs.
Celebration of Creation— The deep reverence of the early Celtic Christians provides us with a powerful biblically-based model of creation and environmental activism.
Developing a Urban Theology— An examination of what the scriptures have to say about the city and our ministy as communities of faith and individuals within it.
