I went looking for God and found God in the church’s kitchen where we made meals for the homeless
I went looking for God and found God in the small room we turned into a shower for the homeless
I went looking for God in the sanctuary where we collected school supplies for families in the community as school started
I went looking for God and found God in the narthex where the Angel Tree was kept to collect gifts for children/teens whose parents were incarcerated
I went looking for God and found God in our back yard where we housed and fed over 3000 volunteers during recovery work
I went looking for God and found God in our parking lot as needy families came to pick up meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas
I went looking for God and found God in the Sanctuary welcoming the stranger and making them friend
I went looking for God and found him with the men of the church building a ramp at the house of a veteran
I went looking for God and found God at the Church for the Deaf and Blind which folk from my church and the Christian Motorcycle Club rebuilt after the waters receded

I went looking for the God I know and God was at work everywhere
